  • Issues with the battery
  • charging port
  • MagSafe charger.
  • 3 Pin Plug MagSafe Charging Cable Issue

If the battery on your MacBook is not charging, you might try the following few things:

  1. Examine the Magsafe Charger power adapter: Verify that the power adapter is correctly plugged in and operating. Replace the power adapter if it is broken.
  2. Examine the charging cord: Check for any damage on the charging cable. Replace the cable if damage is evident.
  3. SMC Reset: Attempt to reset your MacBook's System Management Controller (SMC). The process of resetting the SMC differs based on the model of your MacBook. Instructions unique to your model are available on the Apple Support page.
  4. Examine the battery: if it isn't charging, it can be defective and need to be changed. By selecting the Apple Menu > About This Mac > System Report > Power, you may examine the condition of the battery. Locate the "Health Information" section and examine the battery's "Condition."
  5. Look for software problems: Software problems can occasionally stop the battery from charging. Verify that there are no pending software updates and that your MacBook is running the most recent version of macOS.

If the solutions listed above don't work, it might be preferable to bring your MacBook to an approved Apple repair facility, or if it's not under warranty, to IRepair Kathmandu Center.
